Yobe: Gaidams campaign generates different kind of heat

Yobe Zone B comprising of Potiskum, Fika, Fune and Nangere Local Government areas was seen in sections of Yobes political circle as traditionally belonging to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). This is because it is home to the State PDP leader and former Police Affairs Minister, Alhaji Adamu Maina Waziri and also because in the last election, the PDP produced the senator from the zone and one of the two House of Representatives members. Incidentally, the second House of Representatives slot captured by the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in 2007 had also now turned PDP, as the member representing Fika/Fune Constituency Alhaji Baba Gishiwari decamped out of the ANPP.
