Honda CB125, CD125-D debut, target 100,000 units

THE all-new Honda Motorcycle Ace CB125 and Ace CB125-D have debuted in Nigeria with a pledge to satisfy expectations of stakeholders.Produced and serviced by Honda Manufacturing (Nigeria) Limited, the motorcycles, according to the company are specially crafted to withstand all road conditions and meet both private and commercial requirements.Unveiling the two products recently, Sales Manager, Mr. Emmanuel Hunyiga said they were developed as Honda's affordable, strategic small-sized motorcycle models for emerging markets.He explained that priority was givento fuel economy, performance and durability while leveraging Honda's global network to increase cost competitiveness.According to information made available, the Ace CB125-D, which was designed for a wide range of customers, features a stylish and innovative design.It explained that Honda would strive to increase sales of the motorcycle models by introducing them to other African nations.Speaking further, Hunyiga said the new package has been developed to maintain the function/performance required for a utility motorcycle.'By the expert analysis of the centre tightening boss, we have determined a crankcase configuration that permits layout of the transmission close to the crankshaft while maintaining adequate rigidity, realising the further compactness.'To reduce frictions from sliding of the piston in the cylinder, the oil grooves are provided on the piston surface as well as employing the offset cylinder (offset to exhaust side) design. Moreover, the employment of oil jet improves cooling of the piston,' said Hunyiga.He described the new Ace CB125 and Ace CB125-D motorcycles as excellent products with user-friendly capabilities.'Our study has shown that the demand for personal motorcycles is increasing. The best motorcycle must also be affordable, economical and durable to withstand high terrain, considering road condition,' said Honda's Operating Officer, Yuji Shiga.Honda Ace CB125cc, according to Shiga, has basic and retro look, round headlight, a wide, long and utmost comfortable seat, highly durable, reliable and most practical 125cc engine and enhanced load carrying capacity.
