Bane Of Town Planning In Ogun

LACK of government patronage and inadequate allocation of funds for planning have been identified as impediments militating against the development of town planning practice in Ogun State.The National President of the Nigeria Institute of Town Planners (NITP), Mallam Kabiru Yari disclosed this during the commissioning of the NITP building in Abeokuta on Thursday.Yari, who was represented by the Second Vice- National President of the institute, Femi Olomola said government patronage has not been inadequate, adding that much of the problem facing the state is inefficient planning, stressing that the institute would be happy if government can provide enough fund for planning to cater for the magnitude of problem encountered by the State.
