Minister, Iwu For Herbal Festival

THE Nigeria Natural Medicine Development Agency (NNMDA) in conjunction with the International Centre for Ethnomedicine and Drug Development (InterCEDD) and the International Association for the Promotion of Traditional Medicine (PROMETRA), has concluded arrangements to hold Herbal Festival (HerbFEST),a biennial event meant to exhibit business opportunities in herbal products.The herbal expo, which holds at Airport Hotel, Lagos from October 11 to 13, is expected to be declared open by the Minister of Science and Technology, Prof. Ita Okon Bassey Ewa while the keynote address would be delivered by former INEC Chairman, Prof. Maurice Iwu.NNMDA Director General, Tamuno Okujagu, revealed that the herbal expo would also feature experts from South Africa, Senegal, the United States and Asia, to help stimulate the natural products and bio-business industrial sub-sector in Nigeria and the Economic Community of West African States.
