Swear Senator Igbeke In, Group Urges Senate

A GROUP known as Anambra Democratic Forum (ADF) has called on the leadership of the Senate to urgently swear in the senator-elect for Anambra North zone, Alphonsus Igbeke, to ensure adequate representation of people of the zone. Addressing journalists in Lagos on Friday, President of the organisation, Dr. Martins Onyeneke, expressed disappointment and dismay over the Senate leadership's complicity in refusing to swear Igbeke in, even after the Federal High Court Abuja had declared him the authentic candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on March 17 and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) issued him with a certificate of return on May 9 after he won the election.
