S'East commissioners may meet minister over roads

SOUTH EastStates' works Commissioners have planned to meet withthe Minister of Works, Mr. Mike Onolememen over the deplorable federal roads in the zone.The major focus of their meeting in Umuahia, Abia State over weekend wasto find thebest modality in addressing the problems thatthey said had defied the efforts of governments in the region.Reading out the statement to reporters after the meeting, the host Abia State Works Commissioner, Mr. Kingsley Mgbeahuru said their States had lost several lives and valuable goods on the roads andthatthe situationfurther increased hardship in the zone.He said a documentary that would display the scenarios on all the roads was being prepared.
