Amina wins LGAN Open in style

AMINA Wilfred added the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN) Open Golf Championship to her laurels after winning by 160 Gross shots.Amina who plays eight (8) handicap emerged the winner of the two-day tournament which held at Ibadan Golf Club (IGC), Onireke, Ibadan last Sunday.A Lady golfer who is a member of Kano Golf Club also won the ladies nearest to the pin and Ladies longest drive on day one of the tournament.Valentine Manteaw finished in second position on 166 gross ahead of defending champion, veteran Hannah Obadina of the Sagamu golf club who plays 170 gross shot.In the men's category, Omo-Oba Adeleke Fetuga won the best men nearest to the pin and the winner of Veteran best net.Fetuga who is also known as back-to-back winner due to his skill in the game of golf has described the two trophy as one of the best trophies he got so far."I've been playing this game for some years now and I have won so many trophies, to me golf is a game of life but my only regret is that I did not start early because I was more involved in other sporting activities.Meanwhile, in her address, Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN) Western Zone Vice President, Evelyn Oyome said she was happy with the turnout of members and guests from various parts of the country as well asmajor sponsor, Soft Allianceand Resources Limited.The dignitaries present at the award include ; Former first Lady of Oyo State, Chief Mrs. Olayinka Mutiat Ladoja, IGC Captain, Chief Babajide Olatunde-Agbeja who is also one of the sponsors of the tourney, former IGC Captain, Mr Moses Ojo and Ladies Captains from various parts of the country among others.
