COACH of the Super Falcons, Uche Eucharia, has said that she is having sleepless nights over the situation of Uchechi Sunday, one of the invited six foreign-based players for the return leg tie of the 2012 Olympic qualifier against the Lionesses of Cameroun, billed for October 23 in Yaounde.Uche, in an interview with a Lagos-based radio station yesterday declared that the whereabouts of the Neunkirch of Switzerland striker has remained unknown."I don't know the whereabouts of Uchechi, we have contacted her team in Switzerland to find out but nobody seems to know where she is at the moment. She was supposed to be in Nigeria in August to renew her international passport."This is giving us concern because there was no communication yet ever since we invited her for this match. Uchechi is an experienced player having played at the World Cup and up till now, we don't know whether she would come for this game," explained the Imo State-born coach."We know what is at stake and everybody wants to be at the London Olympics. Everybody is well focused and we are going to do the right thing to get the result we need in Cameroun," Uche assured. It will be recalled that the Super Falcons won the first leg tie in Abuja 2-1 thus, the Lionesses which won the gold at the just-concluded 10th All Africa Games, Maputo 2011 at the expense of Ghana need a 1-0 victory in Yaounde to pick the Olympics ticket.Meanwhile,AHEAD of the decisive second leg London 2012 Olympics qualifier, Super Falcons goalie, Precious Dede, is optimistic the team will ride though the back of Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroun to London. The Nigerian team takes a slim 2-1 first leg win to Yaounde for the return leg on October 22 in which just a lone goal victory will earn the Camerounians the ticket to the Olympics.Looking forward to the encounter, Dede said the Falcons were focussed on the match and would aim for victory which she hinted is very possible over the Lionesses.''Inspite of the slender first leg victory, we still have the chance of scaling through, we were only unlucky during the first leg, and going into the second leg, we are sure of winning, the Camerounians are beatable,''Team's coach, Ucheria Uche had said that she was not under any pressure but was focussing on the match with her mind set on victory in Yaounde.
