DREAM Team V Chief Coach, Austin Eguavoen, will tomorrow jet out of the country to negotiate the release of Nigeria's Olympic team players for the round robbin games of the London 2012 Olympics qualifiers.Eguavoen told Tribunesports yesterday during a training session of the Dream Team V that he was planning to discuss with Technical Directors of foreign clubs which parade Nigeria's national U-23 players.He further revealed that he would be in company of Technical Director, Nigeria Football Federation( NFF), Barrister Chris Green."I will travel to Europe on Friday (tomorrow). Also, I would be accompanied by Barrister Chris Green to see the technical director of clubs of the players who will feature for us in the final phase of London 2012 Olympics qualifying games and discuss issue concerning the release of the players"The former Super Eagles chief coach further explained that since it would be impossible to reach all the Technical Directors of the clubs, he would be relying on telecommunications to the relevant authorities to get assurance on the release of the players for the mini-tournament.Eguavoen noted that time was not on the side of the technical crew and as such, will make a brief stay in Europe and return to prepare the team.When commenting about the sudden withdrawal of Egypt from hosting the mini-tournament, Eguavoen said: "We can play anywhere, we are not disturbed by Egypt's withdrawal, we want to remain focused on the task ahead and that is to qualify our great country for the Olympics''.Meanwhile,FORMER Nigerian Golden Eaglets' striker 'Ganiyu Oseni has promised Nigerians that the Dream Team V will not let the country down in the forthcoming eight- nation London 2012 Olympics qualifier.Oseni who plays for Esperance of Tunisa told Tribunesports yesterday at the Obafemi Awolowo stadium Ibadan, during training session of the Dream Team that the team had been motivated to win the London ticket.Oseni added that he was working on his fitness and ready for the Olympic qualifer."I want to make the team and by God's grace, I won't be left out; that is my immediate career target,'' said the holidaying striker.''Nigerians should expect a very good outing from Dream Team at the 2012 Olympic qualifier and by God's grace, we shall make it''.Meanwhile,INTERNATIONAL Development Manager of Chelsea FC and leading football scout, Ian Woodrough, has commended the Nigerian Dream Team for its exceptional performance, after clinching the silver medal at the just-concluded Copa Coca-Cola African International Football tournament.Woodrough, who spoke at the finals held at the Chelsea FC training ground, Cohbam, London, noted that the team's opportunity to interact with other nations, to experience English culture, watch premier league games and meet Chelsea FC players demonstrates that Copa Coca-Cola is the quintessential grassroots football programme.
