Fayose re-applies for PDP membership

FORMER governor ofEkiti State, Mr AyoFayose, has re-applied to become a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which he left to contest the governorship position of the state under Labour Party (LP).The National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP met in Abuja, on Thursday, to deliberate on the application but could not take a decision on it.A statement issued after the meeting by the national publicity secretary of the party, Professor Rufai Ahmed Alkali, confirmed that the NWC received an application for the return of the former governor to the PDP.It said the NWC would study the application and make public its decision at the appropriate time.'For the avoidance of doubt, the NWC wishes to state that it has not taken any final decision on this matter,' the statement said.
