Alaka family funfair stems tide of negativity and crime

THE Alaka Family funfair, a fun-enterprise and games event held at the Alaka Estate, Surulere on Saturday was set out to deepen family and friendship ties, celebrate love, develop communication/networking and cater to trade/business.Acting on the rising spate of violence, negativity, ethnic skirmishes, etc, in the nation; Rockers World introduced various building blocks of love and interaction, which aims at infusing society with the essence of living; at communal levels and microcosms of the society. One of these is the Alaka Family Funfair (AFF).Violence, crime and negativity can be reduced by love and harmony. These are the words of Mrs. Tolu Shogaolu, managing partner of Rockers World, a media & events company; that believes social interaction is important to peaceful coexistence.The values and objectives of the event have been lauded, evident in the teeming support by major corporate bodies. This resulted in fun-seekers going home with lots of gift items.Interviewed fun-seekers encouraged the organizers to keep at it and make it a regular event, with replication in other cities in Nigeria.
