Published by Guardian on Sun, 16 Oct 2011

Eke Prince Eklips is one of Nollywood's hunks. And with his physique, acting roles have never been scarce. Since his emergence in the local moviescene, the Ngo Okpala, Imo State-native actor has featured in a lot of movies including Secret Code, The Code and others. The actor and model studied Psychology at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and holds a Master's degree in International Relations from the Imo State University. The CEO of Geeklips Nigerian Ltd., tells DANIEL ANAZIA what fashion is to him. WHAT is your definition of fashion'It is an expression of one's innermost feeling. It's a reflection of who you are and your sense of style; whether trendy or conservative.Uniqueness of your style The discovery of who I am has influenced my style in recent times. Even when I do ethnic, casual or jeans and T-shirts, I dress to befit royalty. I'm known with my signature style ' skinny jeans, high collar T-shirts on casuals and my heavy native attires because they define my body structure and carriage. Favourite colour Red, black and white. White for purity, black because I'm proud to be an African and red for dignity, power and strength. I also use red because I want to be loud once in a while, aside from serving as a warning sign for those who want to dare.Favourite piece of clothing Waist jacket or petty coat (Monkey Jacket); I wear them on my native and T-shirts. Favourite designer(s) Geeklips & Mgee's Confidence. I also wear anything from good designers abroad. Favourite signature perfume Fortunately, I have my own perfume line, but I love strong scents because I possess a strong personality, no dulling. Most expensive fashion piece ever bought My Valentino patent shoe, it cost a few thousand pounds. What would you not be caught wearing any day'Ladies dress, not even for a billion Naira stake. How often do you improve on your wardrobe'Almost on daily basis depending on the events I have to attend. If I have a high profile meeting with important personality, a day or night before it, befitting attire will be made for me by Geeklips & Mgee's Confidence Clothing Line. The same applies to when I'm going on a movie set. So, at the end of the day, I improve on my wardrobe every now and then. Body grooming and careI always use my gym every morning for fitness and I do facial treatment and spa.Favourite food Akpu with light ukazi and Ede soup prepared with okporoko (stockfish).Likes Honesty and transparency.DislikesFraudulent acts, liars, back-stabbers. What is on shopping list for the month'Diamond ring for our wedding. What would you consider sexy in both men and women'Intelligence, strong personality and a sense of style. Choice travel/holiday destination Oh! No place can equate my country home, Ngo Okpala. I love the natural environment; it is entrapping and brings me closer to nature. The peace, love and harmony in the co-habilitation of my people cannot be found in the city.Craziest thing ever done in lifeTravelling to Ghana by road in the name of adventure.Philosophy of life Do unto others what you want them do to you.Inspiration The Holy Bible. What would you like to change in Nigeria, if given the opportunity'They are so many, but number one on my list is the Nigeria Police Force.
