Niger Delta wrestling championship drags Hulk Hogan to Nigeria

ORGANISERS of the inaugural Niger Delta Wrestling Championship slated to hold in December have revealed that renowned American wrestler, Hulk Hogan, is among the stars expected to grace the event.A spokesman for the organisers, Solsuema Osaro, also disclosed that the championship, apart from featuring budding talents in the Niger Delta area of the country, will also include the much talked about world heavyweight title defence featuring Nigeria's Osita Offor, also known as De Ultimate Commander, and a challenger from the United States of America.The championship will hold in the first and second weeks of December.The championship, tagged 'Niger Delta Expression: transforming raw talents to Professionalism,' according to Osaro, 'will also be used to lure investors to the NigerDelta, promote good governance, corporate responsibility, security, tourism/hospitality and gender friendliness.'Osaro, who is the project manager of the event, also revealed that the Universal Wrestling Professionals Federation's (UPWF) world heavyweight champion, Ultimate Commander, has already commenced a tour of the Niger Delta area to sensitize the people on the event.
