Police arrest gang members terrorising Obadore community

The police in LagosState have arrested another suspected member of the inter-state criminal gang, in connection with the recovered arms and ammunitions at Obadore community in Igando area of the state .The residents of the communityhave also blamed their inability to suspect the activities of the members of the gangon a live snake , that was allegedly placed in the compound by the gang .The police boss in the state has also ordered a full scale investigation into the origin of the police magazine rifle , which was parts of the arms and ammunition recovered from the criminal hideout.The image maker in charge of the state police command , Samuel Jinad, informed the Community News that another member of the gang , who had earlier escaped during the police invasion, had been arrestedThe police image maker stated that the arrest of the runaway member of the gang followed a directive by the state Commissioner of Police , Yakub Alkali, that no member of the gang must be allowed to escape. 'The unnamed member of the gang was reportedly arrested after the villagers sighted him and alerted the police , who swiftly swung into action and rounded him up.A police source also disclosed that the state police boss haddirected men of the Criminal Investigative Department of the state command to unravel the source of the recovered police magazineMeanwhile, residents of the community have absolved themselves of any complicity in the activities of the terror gang and blamed their inability to suspect them on the presence of a live snake in the criminals hideoutA resident , who identified himself simply as Raymond, stated that the residents of the community were ' even scared of going close to the gang's house ' because of the news that a live snake was inside the building.Raymond also stated that the gang members had about a year ago, raised the fence of the building , before warning the residents of the community to ' Beware of live snake. ''What we noticed was that they increased the height of the fence of the building and wrotein front of the fence that we should beware of live snake in the compound,' Raymond stated.
