Commanding Supernatural Prosperity! (II)

Published by Nigerian Compass on Tue, 18 Oct 2011

No father is happy to see his children in lack. Prosperity is not just having money; it's a state of well-being, which you enter into through the covenant of abundance.Prosperity is not a promise you claim in prayers or fasting; it is a covenant you practise. Last week, we studied the reality of supernatural prosperity. Also, we learnt about poverty and its causes. Furthermore, we considered being born again and contented as things you do, to enter into supernatural prosperity. This is a summary of that teaching. This week, I will show you two other things you should do to enjoy supernatural abundance: Loving God: The wealthiest man in Bible history walked into the realm of unspeakable wealth by this vital factor called love. God's Word says: And Solomon loved the Lord... (1 Kings 3:3). That was the characteristic that ushered Solomon into the realm of prosperity. He was so love-blind that when God wanted him to ask for what he wanted done for him, he only asked for how to please God. He didn't ask for riches and honour; he didn't ask for the life of his enemies. He just asked God to help him so he could please Him. God was so pleased that He added unto him that which he did not ask for ' riches, honour, etc (1 Kings 1:5-13). Also, Solomon went to Gibeon to sacrifice 1,000 burnt offerings to God. It is wonderful that he sacrificed so much, but what was the basis' He loved God! It was not the volume; it was the heart with which he did it that moved God. To access the wonder world of kingdom wealth, your love for God must be unveiled, and real; it must be a burning love. The love of God is your covenant qualifier for supernatural prosperity. The Bible says: ...Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him (1 Corinthians 2:9). This connotes unlimited blessings from God! Serving God: Serving God with joy and gladness of heart qualifies you for divine favour, which is a vital gateway to abundance (Psalm 102:13-15). Many are serving God on contract and that is why they are not making any headway. Have a heart for God and you will make a mark on the earth. As long as you live for yourself, you give yourself over to the enemy. But when you live unto God through service, no devil can touch you.God's Word says: Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job serve God for nought' (Job 1:9). From this scripture, we see that whatever Job became, was as a result of his service to God. No wonder, the Bible said he became the greatest man in all the east (Job 1:3). He was very wealthy. How did he get there' It was through the mysterious ladder of service.Serving God is profitable! If you are set to serve Him, He will be set to free you from every financial, spiritual or physical bondage and slavery (Exodus 4:22-23). Israel was in bondage in Egypt for 430 years until they made up their mind to serve God. As they were leaving Egypt, God gave them favour and they became rich. Favour is the gateway to financial fortune (Exodus 3:21).God's Word says: And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee (Exodus 23:25). Serving God is your insurance against bondage, lack, shame and penury. Your commitment to God will provoke His commitment to you. Your liberty is tied to your readiness to serve God! The moon has no light of its own. All it does is to align or position itself to reflect the light from the sun. Wake up! It is your wrong positioning that has caused your poverty, misfortune and frustration. Until God becomes the centre of your life, everything keeps falling apart and you won't be at ease. If you must enjoy abundance, it has to be by consecrated and committed service. One of the ways to serve God is by obeying His Words and commandments. You can also serve Him with your treasures too. There are many who are serving God with all their hearts, but without their purses (Exodus 10:26). Your treasures are your substance of worship. Your platform for freedom from poverty is your readiness to serve God with all that you are and have. When you give yourself over to God, the difficulties of your life will come to an end. You keep smiling all the days of your life. Those who don't serve God will end up serving men. Even when you serve men, they are bound to disappoint you in some cases. I have never begged any mortal being for anything since I came into ministry. As I serve God, He supplies all my needs. Serving Him with all that you are and have qualifies you for all God has, and all God has is more than enough for your life. Serve God truly and see how faithful He is!Friend, you need God's grace to serve God with the right heart, if you are connected to Him (born again). You get connected, when you confess your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. You can be connected right now, if you have not been, as you say this prayer: You can do so right now as you say this prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner, I cannot help myself. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious blood. Deliver me from sin and satan, to serve the Living God. From today, I accept You as my Saviour and Lord. Thank You for saving me. Now I know I am born again!
