Don't sack Siasia

THE Nigeria Football Federation, has been told not to allow the cacophony of voices demanding for the ouster of Super Eagles coach to confuse it.Secretary general of the defunct NEPA Football Club of Ibadan, Alhaji Raimi Akande said the NFF should not allow those who do not know much about the game to becloud its sense of judgement.Alhaji Akande, who opined that the NFF being the body reposed with the trust of administrating Nigerian Football should leave up to its billings rather than being misled saying that the body should be decisive enough.'The team's crash out of the qualification of CAF Nations should not be blamed on coach Siasia since he is not the players, 'the administrator stated. The players are not just as committed as the Nigerian players of old.'You can not compare Nigerian players with their Ghanaian and Ivorien counterparts,' he pointed out.Rather than put the blame on Siasia, Alhaji Akande explained that the solution was for Nigeria to head back to the grassroots through local government competition instead of chasing players who are not committed.'We should make it easy for local government in the country to organise competitions since they are in the grassroot,' the ex-secretary general said. If we continue the way we are doing, the same problem will persist.
