NATIONAL U-23 chief coach Austin Eguavoen is expected to embark on his European tour of players for the upcoming CAF U-23 championship billed to hold next month in Morocco.NFF Technical committee Chairman Barrister Chris Green would accompany him on the week long tour of select European countries.In a Media release issued by the Team's Media officer, Arafat Aliu, Coach Austin Eguavoen would visit over four European countries to see club directors over the release of players for the CAF U-23 championship which serves as London 2012 Olympic Games qualifier.'Considering the limited number of days available to the coach he would not be able to visit all the club directors. In any case he has already established contact with those that time would not allow him to see.' Stated Arafat Aliu.'Letters have already been sent to the clubs, in Ukraine,Turkey and Israel as Coach Austin Eguavoen had earlier established contact with club directors of Dream team V players in these countries' he added.Meanwhile,AS part of his effort to beef up the National Under 23 team and to have a good show at the London 2012 Olympics Games coach Austin Eguavoen has invited more players to join the team. Ten players were decamped over the weekend by the technical crew of the team .More players are being expected and some of them who joined the team Monday are:Osas Okoro from Heartland FC, Owerri and Shehu Shagari from Gombe United.Both players on arrival, trained with the team inside the main bowl of the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan.Presently in Dream Team V camp are 31 players but according to the team Media Officer, Arafat Aliu they are still expecting another two players before the week runs out.Meanwhile, Assistant coach of the team, Benedict Iroha said so far, he was happy with the present set of players in the camp.The former Nigeria international left winger disclosed that "the performance of the boys are okay, we started 2-weeks ago and they are all doing fine, so far so good all is going well as planned and the players are doing their best ."We want to focus on what we have on ground, we are at the last stage of the camping and we must fish out the best for the country in the forthcoming London 2012 qualifier". Iroha said.
