SuperSport unveils new facilities in Lagos

DETERMINED to boost sports broadcasting in the country, SuperSports has concluded plans to change the Nigerian broadcasting landscape with its new High Definition broadcast studio and Outside Broadcast (OB) van.Speaking at the unveiling of the equipments, SuperSports Operations Director for Africa, Andre Venter, said this is the first step to broadcasting Nigerian sports in High Definition, and the van, according to him, is equipped with 22 cameras and captures surround sound, making it suitable for high quality production of sports events.In his remarks, Lagos State Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Social Development, Wahid Enitan Oshodi, commended SuperSports for changing the broadcast system in the country, especially the Nigeria Premier League, adding that Lagos was ready to partner the broadcaster.'SuperSports has, over the years, changed the face of broadcasting of sports in the country, and Lagos has thrown its weight behind the outfit for its immense efforts at promoting sports in the country.SuperSport's investment in the Nigerian sports broadcast industry is not limited to the technology aspect of things but also extends to human skills through various courses. The general manager, Felix Awogu, assured Nigerians of high quality production and broadcast of the Nigeria Premier Leagues.Such would be packaged in a highly attractive television offering by Nigerians for Nigerians and would certainly change the way the local football scene is perceived, thereby bringing back sponsors to the game and spectators to the stadia.
