Constance Wu is likely having a pretty great Friday.Fresh Off the Boat, the ABC sitcom that Wu has starred on since 2015, has been canceled, with Vulture reporting that its current sixth season will be its last. ABC subsequently confirmed the report with Variety. This comes after Wu earlier this year infamously went on a public Twitter rant when the show was renewed for its sixth season, saying she was "so upset right now that I'm literally crying" and writing "dislike" under an Instagram photo sharing the news. In another tweet, she wrote, "F--ing hell."> congrats to constance wu> > -- sonia_saraiya (@soniasaraiya) November 8, 2019Wu would later explain that she was simply "temporarily upset" because the show returning meant she "had to give up another project that I was really passionate about." In September, she told Variety this project was a play, also explaining "a lot of people had told me, 'Oh, yeah, it's not going to get picked up.'" Keep an eye out for news of the show's cancellation posted on Instagram today to be met with a prompt "like" from a newly unemployed Wu, now free to pursue theater to her heart's content.
