When a computer or other device is running slowly or not performing at its maximum capacity, it can be helpful to clear the system's cache.Like computers, the PlayStation 4 has a cache that should be cleared every so often to ensure it runs smoothly.Check out the products mentioned in this article:PlayStation 4 (From $299.99 at Best Buy)How to clear the cache on your PS4The process of clearing your PS4's cache is simple. Just follow the steps below.1. Turn off your PS4. Your PS4 must be completely off in order to clear its cache; if it's left in Rest Mode, the process won't work.2. While the PS4 is shutting down, its indicator light will blink. Wait until the indicator light has stopped blinking. The PS4 will only be completely off once the light stops blinking.3. Disconnect the PS4's power cord from the back of the console. Don't simply unplug the cord from the wall; it needs to be disconnected from the PS4 itself in order to clear the cache. Also note that different PS4 models, such as the Pro or Slim, may have their power cords located in a different spot than indicated in the photo seen here.4. After disconnecting the power cord, wait for at least 30 seconds.
