FAJ's 50th birthday celebration gathers momentum

THE launch of the books of foremost entertainment journalist, Femi Akintunde-Johnson (popularly known as FAJ) in commemoration of his 50th birthday holds on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Combo Hall, LTV Complex, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos.Tagged, An Afternoon of Letters and Laughter, the event will kick off with purple carpet interactive session at 11a.m.The Deputy Managing Director of The Sun Newspapers, Mr. Femi Adesina, will review one of the books, Lifelines, while the Serving Overseer of Latter Rain Assembly, Dr. Tunde Bakare will serve as chief presenter.The other book, Footprints, will have the publisher of Ovation International, Chief Dele Momodu, as the reviewer and presenter.Popular acts and top comedians have already signed up to give their very best at the action-packed event to honour one of their own. One of the highlights of the day is Special Songs of Praise by Telemi and Friends, followed by FAJ's testimonials by his friends and colleagues, among other spicy activities lined up to enrich the golden jubilee celebration.Mr. Yemi Akeju, the executive chairman of Ideas Communications Ltd will chair the event.The day's special guests of honour are Mr. Biodun Shobanjo of Insight Communications; Mr. Leo Stan Ekeh of Zinox Computers; Dr. Sunny Obazu-Ojeagbese of Complete Sports, Dr. Raymond Dokpesi of DAAR Communications and Mr. Richard Mofe Damijo, actor and Delta State Commissioner for Tourism.
