NDLEA officials detained over suspect's death

FIVE officials of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Benue State Command are now in police custody over the death of a suspect.The officials were arrested for allegedly killing one Chia Tyoor of Taraku town in Gwer Council of the state.It was gathered that the NDLEA officials had gone to arrest the deceased they alleged to be an Indian hemp dealer and on their way back with the suspect, shot him dead, claiming that he attempted to escape.The state's Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), Alaribe Ejike, while confirming the arrest of the officials, said one of them was still on the run.Ejike said the command was investigating the incident and would soon charge the suspects to court.
