Ikoyi-Ile communities roll out the Adrums for Osun-Ikoyi festival

Communities and indigenes Ikoyi-Ile, in Isokan Local Government area of Osun State, will, on Sunday, converge at the ancient community to celebrate this year Osun Ikoyi festival.Speaking with Community News, the Olukoyi of Ikoyi-Ile, Oba Yisau Bantale Otunla-Kodaolu 1 said, activities towards the celebration of the annual festival would commence on Friday while the grand finale is to hold on Sunday.According to the the traditional ruler, "residents of the community, as well as invited guests would dance from the palace with the Olukoyi to the Osun river where the real celebration will hold."Olukoyi stated further that, the festival which normally brings indigenes and other residents together, will also be used to pray for the entire Ikoyi community, the state and the entire country.The traditional ruler also enjoined the residents not to foment trouble during the festival, saying, they should demonstrate peace and tranquility before, during and after the annual festival. People from far and near are expected to grace the festival.
