Imo partners private sector, others on education

TO ensure better services, the Imo State Government is to partner private sector individuals and non-governmental organisations to develop the education sector in the state.To this end, it has called on stakeholders in education to assist its efforts to actualise its policy thrust of providing quality education in the state.The call was made on Wednesday by Governor Rochas Okorocha's aide, Chibuzor Anyanwu, during the presentation of educational materials donated by Udo Nwerenmadu Foundation, Ezinihitte Mbaise, to pupils of Community School, Udo and Town School, Udo, in the state.Speaking at the event, Anyanwu noted that the government's free education policy was geared towards enhancement of education in the state from the foundation level.'Imo State Government is implementing projects to enhance schools in the state and we are welcoming the private sector to compliment the state government's goal. Teachers and pupils are enjoined to key into the partnership,' he noted.
