Huawei Technologies invests in Nigerian mobile phone market

TELECOMMUNICATIONS service providers, Huawei Technologies Limited, has announced its entry into the highly competitive Nigerian mobile phone market with the promise to make mobile phones accessible to Nigerians across different socio-economic classes.Huawei, which said that it found the Nigerian market very attractive, said it will comply with all industry and regulatory standards of Nigeria, adding that, it ship in quality phones that will meet the standard of the countrySpeaking during a media briefing in Lagos recently, Managing Director, Terminals, Huawei Technologies West Africa Ltd., Jacky Lee, stated that the firm had always been driven by a need to do things differently and better.Lee explained that, Huawei is bringing its 'smart technology,' which is currently being enjoyed in other markets around the world, to Nigerians in the form of hand held mobile communication devices, adding that, Huawei is offering mobile communication to Nigerians by providing world-class mobile devices that stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the dominant players in the mobile phone market.According to him, the company's focus is on the value proposition to offer intelligent solutions to help telecom operators attract more subscribers and business opportunities and create a simple and fun life for end users. He noted that being the world's leading B2B communications brand and partner to a lot of telecom operators, not only supplying innovative cost effective technical solutions but also designs, builds and installs tailored system enhancements, Huawei makes the end users life a bit more pleasurable.Lee, who said the company would be investing billions of naira in back up services for telecommunications providers in the country, informed that, for Huawei to achieve success in this highly competitive market of Nigeria, it has partnered exclusively Telec , Nigeria 's number one sales distribution company with over 11 years experience in the country .The Huawei MD noted that, with a vast network of warehouses within major cities, a robust customer base and strong channel partners, Pan-Nigeria Telec is positioned to provide excellent and superior sales, logistics and support services to their trade in Nigeria.
