Free medical care coming for Benue residents

A NON-GOVERNMENTAL Organisation (NGO) based in United States of America, Hope Restoration Medical Mission (HRMM), is to offer free healthcare services to the people of Benue State with drugs worth $4.8 million.Disclosing this at the Government House, Makurdi, during a courtesy visit on the Deputy Governor, Steven Lawani, the team leader of the organisation, Dr. Reuben Chizor, said the drugs had already arrived in the country, explaining that the medical services would soon commence in the state with their personnel administering the drugs on patients based on doctors' prescriptions and after critical examinations.Chizor, who urged the people of the state to take advantage of the opportunity being provided by HRMM to treat diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, typhoid, as well as yellow fever, further intimated that the organisation had been rendering free health services for the past 20 years with support from an America-based pharmaceutical firm.
