D-i-s-a-s-t-e-r: Cameroun Handball boss dies in Kaduna

TRAGEDY struck yesterday at the ongoing 33rd African Handball Championship for Clubs Champions in Kaduna, as President of Cameroun Handball Federation, Jules Moudine slumped and died.Tribunesports gathered that Moudine was jogging in his hotel lodge around 7am to keep fit when he suddenly collapsed.Efforts to revive him proved abortive as he was said to have passed on before he could get to hospital.Meanwhile, President of the Nigeria Handball Federation (HFN), Mr Yusuf Dauda in a telephone chat with Tribunesports described the demise of the Camerounian administrator as a loss to the continent given his invaluable contribution to the game."It is an unfortunate incident that shocked everybody here because he was not sick at all but God knows best. It's not only a loss to Cameroun but to Africa as a whole," Dauda stated.The HFN boss then prayed God to grant the soul of Moudine eternal rest and give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.Cameroun is featuring two male and two female teams in the competition which ends this weekend.One of the Camerounian male teams, later played late last night against JSK of Algeria, but the result of the match was being awaited as of the time of going to the press.
