Ife East LG boss pledges to rehabilitate community roads

The caretaker chairman of Ife East Area office, Modakeke, Osun State, Mr Wale Amusan, has reiterated his administration commitment to give road rehabilitations and tarring of township roads in the council area a priority, in order to assist the farmers to transport their produce to urban centres.Speaking with the Community News in his office at Modakeke, Honourable Amusan pledged to adhere strictly to the six points integral action plan of the present administration of Governor Rauf Aregbesola in the state.The council boss stressed that the local government caretaker committee would not leave any stone unturned to reduce poverty among the populace, adding that it would also empower the youths in the council area and strive to ensure peace and stability within the area.'The local government will also take into consideration the environmental sanitation in the area because there is a saying that health is wealth and healthy living of the people is paramount importance to the present administration in the local government,'Amusan said.He commended the state governor, Mr Aregbesola for his initiative on job creation for 20,000 youths under the Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme (OYES) program.The council boss, however, lauded the staff of the council for their commitment to duties, while advising them to continue to be loyal to the management of the council.
