Adhere to precautionary measures

By Tokunbo OgunsamiDirector-General of Lagos State Safety Commission (LSSC) Lanre Mojola has urged Lagosians to take precautionary measures at home and in workplacesThis, he said, was necessary to safeguard the health of all, following outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.A statement yesterday by Mojola noted that letters had been sent to workplaces to sensitise Lagosians and ensure they took safety precautions to combat the pandemic.The statement reads: It has become imperative to inform organisations to ensure that additional measures are put in place in line with directives of the governor to limit transmission of the virus.Read Also:Rabiu donates N1b to fight Covid-19Such measures include encouraging non- essential employees (marketers, contract staff, etc) to work from home; enforce restriction on the gathering of not more than 25 people; encourage use of alternative banking channels.Residents should maintain social distance of at least two metres from the next person; avoid large gatherings and close contact with sick persons; wash hands regularly with soap and water and use alcohol-based hand sanitisers.Failure to adhere will attract sanctions, which may include shutting of companies that act contrary to directives.
