Team spirit underlies Skye Bank's success

The Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Skye Bank Plc, Mr. Kehinde Durosinmi-Etti, has attributed the banks team success at the recent finals of the football championship under the auspices of the "Nigerian Bankers Games" to hard work, team work, organisation and passion. Skye Bank recently defeated Fidelity Bank Plc at the finals of the soccer tournament to lift the trophy at stake thereby becoming champions on three different occasions.A statement by the bank quoted Durosinmi-Etti, while receiving members of the team and the organisers of the tournament in his office as saying that the culture was the foundation of the banks enterprise. He added that the bank had participated in seven competitions, got to the finals five times and won the championship on three occasions, a record he said proved that the team was the best in the league and a team to beat.According to the statement, the bank boss expressed gratitude to the officers of the bank, the football team, the manager and the coaching crew for winning the gold medal. The bankers football tournament involving all the 24 banks in the country was staged over a four-month period with Skye Bank Plc winning the gold, while Fidelity Bank won the silver.
