NFF to decide Siasia fate Friday

The Nigeria Football Federation says a decision on the future of coach Samson Siasia will be taken on Friday.The NFFs technical committee discussed the coachs fate two weeks ago and forwarded its recommendations to the Executive Committee.Siasia is under huge pressure after the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.The highly-anticipated meeting of the executive board is now scheduled for Friday in the Nigerian capital Abuja."The meeting of the board will deliberate on coach Siasia and other issues on Friday," NFF spokesman Olajire told BBC Sport."I cannot say categorically whether the coach will stay or be sackedits a decision for the executive board."Olajire would not be drawn on speculation linking ex-Nigeria internationals like Stephen Keshi, Sunday Oliseh and Daniel Amokachi to the post."I think in situations like these, there are bound to be speculations and insinuations but by Friday everything will be made known to the curious public," Olajire said.Meanwhile, the NFF says that the Eagles will play a friendly on November 12 with a coach - whether that is Siasia staying in his post or a new man taking over."There are ongoing talks for Nigeria to make good use of the next FIFA window to engage the Super Eagles," Olajire said.With many football fans calling for a radical football reform in the country, attention of the media and disappointed fans will shift towards the federation.Three weeks ago the Eagles had failed to qualify for a Nations Cup finals for the first time since the 1986 edition in Egypt.
