2, 000 kids for Rufai/Milo clinic

The third leg of the football clinic organised by ex- Super Eagles goalkeeper Peter Rufais Staruf Football Development for Nestle Nigeria Plc begins in Lagos on Wednesday (today) after successful completion of the Enugu and Ilorin legs.The Lagos leg of the clinic will have at least 2, 000 youths taking part in the programme at Campos Square, Lagos Island. The programme ends on Saturday.According to the schedule for the four-day event, the 2, 000 players are expected to undergo drilling and training which will be coordinated by Rufai and other coaches of the Staruf Football Development. The players would be screened to 500 and a further reduction to 32 after which they would be divided into two groups to play series of matches on the final day on Saturday. Meanwhile, Kwara State Governor Abdulfatai Ahmed has commended Rufai for giving Nigerian youths a future through football. The governor said this when Rufai and his team paid him a courtesy visit during the Ilorin leg of the football clinic.
