Uche is naive not to sign contract with NFF -Amokachi

Published by Tribune on Wed, 26 Oct 2011

SUPER Falcons chief Coach, Eucharia Uche has been blamed for her failure to sign any contractual agreement with the Nigeria Football Federation, (NFF), for the period she serves as the head coach of the country's female national team. The former Super Falcons player who failed to qualify the country for the female football event of the London 2012 Olympics games having tied 3-3 with Cameroun but lost on away goals' rule is claiming that the NFF is owing her some outstanding allowances.Blaming the former Super Falcons coach for the lapse was the former Super Eagles striker and assistant coach, Daniel Amokachi while speaking Monday in Lagos. It is unheard of, that any coach will pick up an appointment without signing any contract,'' he stated. The Bull as Amokachi is fondly called by fans in his playing days, added: ''it is the worst thing for any coach to do, how can you pick up a job and you don't have contractual agreement with your employer'''As a coach you should have your contract papers prepared and studied by your lawyer, then you present it to your employer before you put pen on paper,''he said.Amokachi continued:''If you don't have a contract with your employer, then you do not have to complain about anything, so I think the coach should be held responsible for the situation she found herself,'' the former Ranchers Bees ace midfielder stated.
