NAWOJ whips Oyo SWAN 4-2

PROLIFIC Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Oyo state chapter, yesterday at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan defeated the Sports Writers Association, SWAN, by 4-2 in an exciting match.Goals from Bisi Yomi-Layinka, who netted a hat-trick and FRCN's Iffy, settled the game in NAWOJ's favour as all efforts by OYOSWAN to save face were thwarted by the highly-organised women team.The attacking prowess of NAWOJ tormented the SWAN side which had goalkeeper Sola Oladapo screaming as the fireworks were unbearable for him.Chairperson, NAWOJ, Oyo State, Toyin Malik, boasted that there would have been wider margins but for multiple injuries being nursed by most of her starting players.The crowd voted Bisi Yomi-Layinka as the game's Most Valuable Player, MVP for scoring three goals against the muscular SWAN side, parading Kabiru Zamora Abubakar, a one-time professional footballer.The match watched by an enthusiastic crowd, is one of the activities marking the week of NAWOJ, Oyo State chapter.
