Chad Wheeler Injury: Updates on USC Star's Knee and Return

News for the USC Trojans just got worse. The Trojans lost a heartbreaker to the Utah Utes on Saturday night. On Sunday, the team found out they had lost star left tackle Chad Wheeler likely for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL, per Zach Barnett of NBC Sports.Trojans head coach Steve Sarkisian lauded Wheeler's toughness and commitment to his teammates.He clearly hopes Wheeler's teammates take some inspiration from their fallen teammate's valor. Looking ahead, the Trojans have four regular-season games left on the schedule.At 5-3 overall and 4-2 in the Pac-12, the Trojans can ill afford a poor finish to the season if they hope to have a chance at winning the conference and becoming bowl-eligible. Wheeler is a redshirt sophomore who has been a starter at left tackle since he arrived at Southern Cal.In his stead, the Trojans are expected to turn to senior Aundrey Walker.
