NPL LEAGUE DELIGHTS FOREIGN PLAYERS

LAST weekend's top-of-the-shelve clash in the Nigeria Premier League produced the expected fireworks as Sunshine Stars maintained their leadership of the 20-team log with a 3-2 victory over second placed Dolphins.The match day 55 match produced five great goals and one red card.Ironically, Dolphins' Emmanuel Nwachi got the red card seconds after scoring Ms team's second goal.It was an encounter that brought out the best from the combatants especially the foreign duo of Ghana's Owusu Addae (Dolphins) and Cameroon's Tamen Mendrano.Addae is actually not a stranger to the NPL's big matches due to his previous stint at Heartland, where he played with another Ghanaian, Aziz Ansah.Before coining to Nigeria, Addae made significant contributions at his former Ghanaian teams, Liberty Professionals, Berekum Arsenal.The Ghanaian, who joined Dolphins from the Owerri side, has gradually become one of the best foreigners in the league.Call him Mr. Dependable and you won't be wrong. Addae did well but ended on the losing side.Interestingly, it was his second goal against Sunshine this term, as he scored the only goal when Dolphins won the reverse fixture on match day 15, in February.
