Readers knock police over killing

Published by Punch on Fri, 28 Oct 2011

Another ugly markAnother ugly mark for Nigerias service men (and I use the term very loosely)! This insanity can be stopped instantly if some of the gutless politicians take a stance. Those that are in charge of the brutal police killers should make them accountable for their actions. Why are you employing killers' Take away their misused power until you we get decent law abiding service personnel to uphold the laws, not those who will continue to receive bribe, steal and kill innocent people they are supposedShamueful, pdh1129@yahoo.comGod will repay themMay his soul rest in peace. He was reportedly clutching the Bible as he was dying. Hence, God of vengeance will repay all the policemen who partook in the killing of the poor boy. This country looks like a land of the lawless where police kill with impunity. These are people who cannot match armed robbers but they take pride in killing defenceless civilians.Olusegun Osinubi, oasoinubi@yahoo.com All in dangerThis act has become every day business for the Nigeria Police Force. They extort money from the citizens. If this shameful act is not checked, only God knows how many people will still be killed. These policemen should know that a day is coming that Nigerians will no longer be able to tolerate their despicable act any longer! God bless Nigeria!!! Usman, usefulman4real@yahoo.comThey are brutesNigeria Police is the worst thing the country has. They always look dirty, barbaric, uneducated, untrained and brutal. I wonder why we still keep policemen on our roads when we know they are rogues.Peter, peterjupiter@yahoo.comThey will give accountI wonder who is smoking hemp now between the murdered boy and the policemen that killed him. Do these policemen really expect themselves and their children to end well in life' It is usual for police men to turn the guns purchased with tax payers money against the same tax payers.David, daveoyebode@yahoo.com
