OBI ACCEPTS DREAM TEAM V INVITATION

INTER MILAN midfielder Joel Obi, is keen on featuring for the Olympic Team at next month's CAF Under-23 tournament in Morocco.The 20-year-old is already a full international, having earned eight caps under Samson Siasia, but remains eligible to play for the Under-23s.Dream Team V coach, Augustine Eguavoen, arrived in Italy on Wednesday in continuation of his tour of European clubs to secure the release of players for the Eight-Nation championship.The tournament falls outside of the FIFA window meaning clubs are not obligated to release players, and the former international plans to meet with Inter Milan officials to secure the release of Obi."Coach Eguavoen is expected to see Inter Milan's sporting director for the release of Joel Obi who has indicated interest in featuring in next months' Eight-Nation championship," Olympic team Media Officer, Arafat Aliu, said.On Tuesday Eguavoen completed his visit to the Netherlands where he met with officials of VW Venlo, the club of Ahmed Musa, Alex Nkume, and Uchebo Okechukwu. He also met with officials of PSV Eindhoven, the club of Rabiu Ibrahim.On Wednesday, he held talks with Parma, Torino, and Reggina for the release of ObioraNwankwo, Nnamdi Oduamdi and Daniel Adejo.He stopped by in Spain yesterday where he met the officials of Granada and Atletico Belares.
