28-year old man lures, rapes 5-year old girl in Anambra

Emma Elekwa, OnitshaA 28-year old man, Chinonso Ugochukwu has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 5-year-old girl in Ndikokwu Umuaku, Uli in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.The suspect, popularly known as NEPA, reportedly had carnal knowledge of the victim after luring her into his room.Police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed confirmed the incident, saying the suspect would be charged after investigations were concluded.READ ALSO:Anambra targets 4,425 weekly tests, records 101 casesHe said, On the 12/7/2020 at about 8:pm Police operatives attached to Uli Division arrested one Chinonso Ugochukwu m aged 28 years (aka NEPA) of Ndikokwu Umuaku Uli in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State.Suspect lured a 5 years of girl into his room and allegedly defiled her. Scene was visited by police detectives and victim taken to the hospital for medical examination.Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, John B. Abang, has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal investigation Department, Awka for discreet investigation after which suspect would be charged to court for prosecution.
