Welcome to your regular column. Last week, I showed you two other keys for accessing supernatural prosperity ' the working knowledge of the truth and meekness. Also, we saw why God prospers people.This week, I will be looking at the benefits of the covenant of prosperity. Many have always thought that prosperity means just to acquire and stack up money. No! Prosperity means enjoying a state of well-being and money is only one of the many things that make for well-being. Let us look at the benefits one by one:Strong, sickness-free and fit: Covenant people are not weaklings. For instance, Abraham went to battle at over 80 years of age! Exodus 23:25 says: ... And I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. Also, Psalm 20:2 says: ... And strengthen thee out of Zion. Jacob travelled on horseback to Egypt at the age of 130! Caleb was among those who went on a spying mission to Canaan at age 40. He testified that 45 years after that event, he was still as strong as he was before. His natural force was not abated (Joshua 14:7-11). Covenant people are energetic people (Psalm 84:7)!The covenant of prosperity brings you into encounters with unique strength all the days of your life. When you are in the prosperity covenant, sickness is not permitted to torment you, the doctor's report notwithstanding. Psalm 41:3 says: The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness. When God spreads your bed, sickness will disappear from there! Also, the covenant of prosperity makes you fit (John 15:2).Sorrow-free: Proverbs 10:22 says: The blessing of the Lord it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. Sorrow-free blessings have only one source ' God! They don't come from any bank, America, Europe, or by your struggling and sweating. All sorrows in your life must end this hour. When you are in the covenant, God decks you with His blessings which are sorrow-free.Defence: The covenant of prosperity creates a hedge around you. Job 1:9-10 says: Then Satan answered... Doth Job fear God for nought' Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side'... The giving life of Job provoked a hedge to be built around him, his house and all that he had on every side. When you enter this covenant, you enter into the stronghold of life. God builds a hedge of fire around you, your house and all that you have. Money cannot buy this! God's Word says: Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver (Job 22:25). When God becomes your defence, no armed robber can break through to attack you. God is called Jehovah the Man of War! He doesn't shoot arrows to win battles. He slays His enemies with the breath of His nostrils! That is what you enjoy in the prosperity covenant. It takes you to a point in your life where anybody that touches you touches Him, and He will arise and fight your battles for you. He becomes your defence. So, if the enemies break through the wall, they will find God there, ready for battle! That is why He never sleeps nor slumbers (Psalm 121:3-4). He is always there for you!Long life and pleasures: God is committed to your longevity. One million witches can't take your life, if you are in the prosperity covenant. God said: ...The number of thy days I will fulfil... (Exodus 23:26). At the age of 130, Jacob still rode on horseback to Egypt. There is a rejuvenating power in the covenant that makes you younger by the day! Job 36:11 says: If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. When you are in the covenant, you will enjoy pleasure. You won't know problem any longer because it is not your heritage. It is well with you: When you are in the prosperity covenant, it becomes well with you. God takes you out of the realm of begging and stealing, because you have the God that is more than enough on your side. Giving is serving God and He has promised in Exodus 23:25 that when you serve Him, He will bless your bread and water; He will take sickness away from you. All these guarantee your well-being.No barrenness: Exodus 23:26 says: There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land. You are not permitted to be barren when you in the covenant of prosperity. You are neither permitted to suffer miscarriages, nor to bury your children. Is finance your only need' No! God will supply all your needs ' need for help, mental soundness, understanding, strength, peace at home, peace at work, peace on the road, etc (Philippians 4:15,19). He will ensure you are not barren on any side.Friend, access to these benefits is the exclusive preserve of those born again. You are born again by confessing and accepting Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. You can be born again now by saying this prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. Forgive my sins and save me. From today, I accept You as my Saviour and Lord. Thank You for saving me. Now I know I am born again!
