Nurtw raises the alarm over troublemakers

TheOgun State council of the National Union of Road Transport Workers has called on the police and State Security Service to investigate the activities of infiltrators bent on hijacking the union.The Caretaker Committee Chairman of NURTW, Mr. Raymond Adeyemi, on Sunday, said the union was battling with the challenge to stop some people from causing confusion in the union.Adeyemi said he was committed to unity in the union, urging the law enforcement agencies to investigate those hiding behind NURTW to cause crisis in the state.He said, We have met with the Commissioner of Police and the Director of SSS in the state. The major challenge for this committee is the infiltration of some violent-minded individuals claiming to be working under the instruction of the state government to cause a crisis in the union.A member of the committee, Alhaji Yusuf Bamgbola, accused troublemakers of trying to drag the NURTW into the political problems of Ogun state.He said, By the law that established the NUTRW, we are not to involve ourselves in any politics of the state. Thats why we are calling on the government and security agents to investigate and caution those miscreants.
