Obasanjo meets Ogun gov

Hours after the Election Petitions Tribunal in Abeokuta upheld the election of Governor Ibikunle Amosun on Monday, former President Olusegun Obasanjo paid the governor a visit.Obasanjos visit to Amosun, which lasted about 30 minutes, came as a surprise to members of the Peoples Democratic Party.It was learnt that Obasanjo met with Amosun behind closed doors at the Presidential Lodge in Abeokuta.In his usual comical manner, Obasanjo was said to have thrown banters at the governor and both reportedly had fruitful interaction.Details of the secret meeting were not available, but the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communication to Amosun, Mrs. Funmi Wakama, said Obasanjo took the opportunity to broach the issue of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Foundation.Amosun was said to have promised to support the development initiative in Owu community and socio-cultural advancement of the state in general.
