Arsenal tops list of shortlisted players from NFF London camp

EIGHT players have being selected from the 2-day camping exercise held at the Bisham Abbey training camp with Arsenal topping the bill with four players.According to coach Chika Akujobi of Feyernoord of Rotherdam who supervised the camping, those selected displayed high technical abilities, commitment and the zeal to excel at the top if given the opportunity.Those selected include Arinse Uade, defender with Arsenal U-16, Alex Iwobi, midfielder Arsenal,Oluwatomisin Adeloye, striker, Charlton, Joseph Debayo, defender Stoke city,Joshua Odunwo, striker Southend, Keith Orenuga striker Arsenal. Others are Fejiri Okenabirhie, winger , Arsenal and Lawson Okimeji, an unattached defensive midfielder.The list has been submitted to the technical committee of the NFF which is expected to invite the boys to form the nucleus of the U 17 national team.The camp was organized to give players of Nigerian parentage who were born abroad the opportunity to play for their fatherland.The first camping was organized in the same venue early in the year under the supervision of former Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia.
