STEPHEN Keshi, highly-favoured for Super Eagles' coaching job, will arrive the country tomorrow from his United States' base, Tribunesports gathered yesterday.Keshi, who had previously handled Togo and Malian national teams, lost the Eagles' job to Samson Siasia last year when the Executive Board of the NFF picked the former Nantes of France striker ahead of keshi.''I will be in Nigeria on Thursday,'' he revealed to Tribunesports.''So much has been written about me and the job, but my arrival in the country will really demonstrate how I feel about the entire issue, it is really an interesting time.''In contention with Keshi for Super Eagles' job are fellow former internationals, Dan Amokachi, Sunday Oliseh and Emmanuel Amuneke.Swedish handler, Sven Goran Eriksson is also touted as a potential Super Eagles' coach.Meanwhile,PRESIDENT, Nigeria Football Federation, (NFF), Aminu Maigari, has denied having discussion with ex-international, Stephen Keshi as regards the vacant post of Super Eagles' chief coach.A purported Keshi-Maigari parley was widely reported in the media shortly after Samson Siasia lost the Eagles' job last week, but the NFF chief said the new Eagles manager will surely be an indigenous coach.''I actually don't know if Keshi is the choice. 'The technical committee is meeting tomorrow (today) and it is after submitting their recommendation that we can say this is the person.''Keshi is in America and I am in Nigeria; I don't know where they got their information from,' said Maigari.''Yes what we want is an indigenous coach; we want our team to have an African back- ground in order to steady the situation.''But we shall be employing a foreign technical director for our development programmes, and that will not happen until much later.''Clarifying the circumstance surrounding the parting of ways between the NFF and Siasia, the Nigerian football supremo stated that the former coach was not sacked.''Siasia was not sacked, our people must know this. What happened was that his contract was terminated.''You would be right to say he was sacked if he was relieved of his duty for certain misdemeanor on the job. But since it's because it was a contractual issue, his contract was terminated,'' Maigari explained.Keshi, a former coach of Togo and Mali national teams and ex-international Sunday Oliseh are the front-runners for the Super Eagles coaching job.Chelsea of England Technical Director, Michael Emenalor, has also been linked to the position, ditto other ex-internationals like Daniel Amokachi and Emmanuel Amuneke.
