Govt sets up road projects monitoring team

AS part of measures to ensure quality work by contractors handling federal road projects, the Federal Government has inaugurated six zonal ministerial monitoring teams to police all on-going road projects and ensure that the highest standards of performance were maintained by the contractors across the country.The Minister of Works, Mike Onolememe, who inaugurated the committee yesterday in Abuja, said the government wanted to ensure that it gets value for money spent on the projects.Onolememe also said the government took the step in order to ensure prompt completion of all on-going projects.
