St Saviours hosts AISEN football tourney

OVER six schools will converge at the St Saviours School field for the annual Association of International School Educators of Nigeria (AISEN) football championship.The Guardian leant that the competition will hold tomorrow with schools like Supreme Education Foundation, Lagos Preparatory School, Greensprings School, Grange School and Meadow Hall expected to jostle for honours at the one-day competition.The tournament is meant to strengthen friendships among the participating schools as well as to unearth talents in the sport.According to the head of the sports, St Saviours, Sadiq Momodu, the competition is part of the programme by AISEN and this would help the schools to build formidable teams in future.'The students that will take part in the championship will be below nine years and being the host, we want the teams to feel at home. AISEN is a body that organizes various sporting competitions among its members and we are hosting the football event, while others may host events like swimming, athletics and a host of others,' he said.
