Nature-Based Solutions Can Reel In Multiple Climate Benefits, But Energy Systems Not Off The Hook

Although nature-based solutions have considerable potential to address climate challenges, for mitigation they cannot be viewed as a substitute for reducing emissions. For adaptation, they cannot be viewed as an absorptive buffer that allows easing of the ambition for limiting climate change.
