Police promote 233 to DCP, ACP

The Police Service Commission has approved the promotion of 233 senior police officers. The promotion of the officers was one of the decisions of the ninth plenary meeting of the commission held in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).Fifty-five of the officers were promoted from the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), 177 promoted from the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to that of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and one Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) promoted to a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).The commission took cognisance of merit, availability of vacancy and satisfactory appraisal of performance grading in considering and approving the promotion of the officers.
