MANCINI PLAYS DOWN RECORD GOAL

ROBERTO MANCINI has admitted he has a wealth of | attacking talent at his disposal but is not driven by goalscoring records.City have smashed in an amazing 36 goals in the firs ten league games, including six at Manchester United and five at Tottenham, as they have opened up a five-point lead at the top of the table.Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Mario Balotelli have all been on fire this season and will be looking to get amongst the goals against QPR on Saturday.Chelsea have set the Premier League benchmark with a tally of 103 in 2009-10 and although City would eclipse that record if they continued at the current rate, Mancini is happy to take the victories no matter how they come.When asked if the record was a driving force, Mancini said: "No, we just want to do better than last year, only this."I don't prefer 1 -0 to 4-0 but I do know it is impossible to always win3-0or4-0."There will be some moments during the season when winning 1-0 will be good. If you keep a clean sheet every time, that is good."
