Bewarang berates NPL

Plateau United coach Bitrus Bewarang has berated the Nigeria Premier League for changing the venue of their match at relegated Crown.Wednesdays home loss to Sharks in Ilorin sent troubled Crown to the lower division after one season in the top flight, while Plateau United got a boost after their victory in the Jos derby against Juth on the same day.The Jos side were preparing for the road trip to Ilorin to face Crown, but received a message to proceed to Ibadan for the match; a development Bewarang believes is unjust."There is no fairness in the league anymore. We got a text message from the NPL to play in Ibadan instead of Ilorin."I believe the NPL should take the blame for all that is happening to the league. There have been several unnecessary changes in the calendar. I dont understand why the match should be moved to Ibadan when Crown has since made Ilorin their home ground after relocating from Ilaro."Our last match against Juth was to be played on Week 38, but the NPL changed the fixture that they wanted to avoid match-fixing on the last day," he told SuperSport.com.
